You shouldn't have to advocate for your space and your students alone. The School Librarians Special Interest Group is a community built by New Mexico school librarians, for New Mexico school librarians.

By joining our SIG, you connect with colleagues statewide who understand the unique challenges and triumphs of school library media centers. We work actively alongside the NMLA Executive Board and state legislative teams to ensure school libraries are a priority. Join us to find mentorship, share resources, and help us build a stronger, more equitable future for school libraries across the Land of Enchantment.

How to Join (For NMLA Members):

1. Log into your profile at nmla.org.

2. Click Edit Profile and scroll down to Group Participation.

3. Check the box for Advocacy for School Libraries and save!
